Bible Study podcasts

You spent the week in the text. Give the episode more than one Sunday.

Most of the people who would benefit from your study will never sit down for a full hour on Leviticus, but they will stop for a minute on a word they thought they understood. A short that explains one verse well is how a stranger decides your show is worth their commute. Clips also give your existing listeners something to send to the person in their small group who keeps asking the question you just answered.

What gets in the way

Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.

The moments that travel

The original language revealWhen you explain what a Greek or Hebrew word carried that the English flattened, people stop scrolling to learn something they can repeat.
The hard question, answeredA listener's question about suffering, doubt or an uncomfortable passage, answered without flinching, travels further than any summary of the chapter.
The cross-reference clickThe moment two passages written centuries apart suddenly speak to each other is the kind of small revelation people share with their group.
The misread verse, correctedGently showing what a famous verse does not mean, in its context, gets saved and sent to friends who have heard it used that way.
The personal applicationYou move from what the text says to what it asks of someone on a Tuesday morning, and that turn is where a short earns a follow.

Hooks in your show's voice

What we leave out

Avoid clips that lift a verse out of its argument, especially from the prophets or the epistles, where a line without its surrounding paragraph can say the opposite of what the author meant. Be careful with clips that name a specific denomination or a living teacher, since a thirty second critique without your fuller reasoning will be read as an attack rather than a study. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

Questions

Will the clips keep the Scripture references on screen?

Captions are the words actually said, so if you say the book, chapter and verse aloud, they appear on screen for viewers to look up. Add the book names to Settings > Spelling so they come through correctly.

Can you skip the parts where I'm only reading the passage aloud?

Each clip comes ranked with a plain reason, so you can see which ones are explanation and which lean on reading. If a clip carries more of the passage than you want, use Change this to drop that part or cut it differently.

Which translation do you use for the on-screen text?

Whatever you read from. Captions are the words you actually said, so your translation appears as spoken and nothing is substituted; add any unusual book names or terms to Settings > Spelling.
