Startup Founder podcasts

You interview founders about focus, then lose a weekend editing their episode.

Founder audiences watch for pattern recognition: how someone else handled the moment they are stuck in right now. A clip about a pivot, a cofounder fight or a fundraising miss gives them that in under a minute and sends the curious ones to the full conversation. Your episodes are full of those moments already; the work is isolating them.

What gets in the way

Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.

The moments that travel

The pivot decision explainedFounders describing the day they killed the original idea are honest and tense in a way other content rarely is.
Investor meeting that went sidewaysRejection stories from people who later succeeded are reassuring and endlessly rewatchable.
Cofounder disagreement resolvedAlmost every founder is living some version of this and wants to see how others handled it.
First customer, how it happenedConcrete early traction stories are specific and tactical, which is what early-stage viewers crave.
The thing they would do differentlyA clean regret from an experienced builder is quotable and easy to caption.

What we leave out

Founders say things on a podcast that their board, investors or employees have not heard yet, so anything about unannounced raises, layoffs, acquisitions or runway should be left in the full episode or cut entirely. Be careful with clips that imply a company is failing or thriving based on a single remark, because a sentence pulled from a longer, more balanced answer can misrepresent a business that real people work at. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

8 to 15 Shorts, plus teasers, thumbnails from real frames, and a title and description, on a private page on your phone, within a day. Each Short is scored, with a plain reason why it should work. You post them wherever you like, full quality, no watermark.

Questions

Founders on my show often talk about numbers they later ask me to remove. How is that handled?

Everything lands on your private page first and you post it yourself, so nothing goes public without your eyes on it. If a founder asks you to pull a number afterward, use Change this to drop that part, or trim it from the episode before you upload.

My episodes are long and technical. Do clips work for deep product conversations?

Yes, the clip is the one explanation or decision a technical viewer would send to a teammate. Dense context gets trimmed so the insight stands on its own.

Can the clips point back to my newsletter or community instead of just the episode?

There is no end card, so say your newsletter or community out loud on the episode and it lands in the captions, since captions are the words you actually say. Then add the link to the ready-made post text and description when you post.
