Storytime podcasts

You told the whole story. The best minute of it is still buried.

A story has a hook, a turn and a payoff, and a short that ends on the turn is what pulls a stranger into the full episode. Your audience grows when someone hears "and then the door opened" with no context and needs the rest. That minute exists in every episode you film; the work is finding it and giving it enough setup to stand alone.

What gets in the way

Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.

The moments that travel

The first wrong turnThe moment you can hear the story go sideways is the moment people decide they need to know how it ends.
The line you didn't expectA single piece of dialogue, repeated plainly, carries more than a minute of narration.
Where you broke characterYou laughing, going quiet or stopping mid-sentence tells the viewer the story is real before you say so.
The listener-submitted twistStories sent in by your audience bring their own people with them, and the twist is what they share.
The question you asked backWhen you stop a guest to ask "wait, where was he?" the viewer is asking the same thing.

What we leave out

Don't clip the ending of a story that only works in full; a short should stop at a turn, not the reveal. Keep a listener's story as anonymous as you promised on air, and don't put a real name or location in on-screen text that wasn't in the audio. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

What you get

8 to 15 Shorts, plus teasers, thumbnails from real frames, and a title and description, on a private page on your phone, within a day. Each Short is scored, with a plain reason why it should work. You post them wherever you like, full quality, no watermark.

Questions

My stories run ten minutes with no clean break. Can you still cut them?

Yes. Clips are chosen at the turns, the points where someone would want to know what happened next, and trimmed so they stand alone with a line of on-screen setup.

Will the clips spoil the episode?

Teasers are built to stop before the payoff. You review every clip before you post it, so if one gives too much away you say so and it changes.

What about guest stories or ones listeners sent in?

They get the same treatment, and captions are the words actually said, so a name, place or detail that must stay off screen should stay off the recording or be cut from the file before you upload. You see every caption and title before posting, so anything that slips through can be changed with "Change this".
