Paranormal And Unexplained podcasts

You build the dread for an hour. A clip gets eight seconds.

Paranormal is a niche where people find a show through one unsettling detail they cannot stop thinking about, and short form is where that detail gets heard first. The witness's exact words, the thing the explanation does not cover, the skeptic going quiet: those travel on their own. A clip that leaves a question open sends people to the episode for the rest.

What gets in the way

Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.

The moments that travel

The witness's exact wordsA direct quote from the person who was there carries more weight than any summary.
The detail that doesn't fitOne small fact the explanation cannot account for is what the viewer keeps thinking about.
The skeptic's turnA guest who came in doubting and left unsure is the most persuasive thing you can show.
What you heard in the roomYour own account of an investigation, told plainly, lets the viewer sit there with you.
The story's unanswered endStopping where the account stops, with no tidy wrap-up, leaves people wanting the full episode.

What we leave out

Do not clip real names, street addresses or identifying details from listener submissions, even if they were said in the episode, because a clip reaches people who never agreed to be discreet. Avoid cutting a recording or photo so it looks like proof when the episode treated it as unverified: the uncertainty is your credibility, and a clip should keep it. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

Questions

We record in low light to set the mood. Will the clips be too dark to watch?

Dark can work in this niche as long as faces and captions read clearly, and we frame and caption with that in mind.

Can the clips protect the identity of people who submit stories?

Names and locations are not removed, since captions are the words actually said, so keep those details out of the recording or cut them from the file before you upload. You read every clip before posting, so anything that slips through can be dropped or changed with "Change this".

Will a clip make my show look like it claims things are real?

Not if the episode did not. We keep your framing, whether that is open questions, a skeptic's view or a plain account of what people reported.
