Reaction And Commentary podcasts
Everyone's reacting to the same thing. Your clip has to be the take.
In this format the subject is shared; what's yours is the opinion and the moment you deliver it. A clip that opens on your sharpest line, with the thing you're reacting to small and under it, is how someone picks your show over the ten others covering the same release. And the window is short, because a reaction to last week's news is already old.

What gets in the way
- By the time you cut it, the thing you reacted to has moved on
- The footage you reacted to brings its own problems: rights, crops, context
- Your sharpest line is buried in a two-hour watch-along
Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.
The moments that travel
Hooks in your show's voice
The on-screen line for the first seconds of a Short. Examples of the shape:
- Nobody's talking about this scene. They should be.
- I was wrong about the trailer.
- This is the worst decision in the finale.
- Say what you want, that quote was staged.
What we leave out
Keep the thing you're reacting to short and clearly secondary on screen; a clip that's mostly someone else's footage is their clip, not yours, and it's the first thing to get pulled. Before you post, skip anything under embargo, an episode that hasn't aired for everyone, or a take you've since walked back, so a clip doesn't resurface as your current position. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

8 to 15 Shorts, plus teasers, thumbnails from real frames, and a title and description, on a private page on your phone, within a day. Each Short is scored, with a plain reason why it should work. You post them wherever you like, full quality, no watermark.

Questions
Can the clip show what I'm reacting to?
The clip shows what was in your recording, so if the source is on screen in the episode it can appear in the frame with you. No separate window or still is added, so set up your screen the way you want it seen before you record.
My episodes go stale in two days. Which parts go out first?
Every clip from the episode comes back together, ranked with a plain reason, so pick the time-sensitive one from your page and post it first. Upload as soon as you stop recording, and use the rush add-on when a clip cannot wait.
I said something on air I'd rather not have as a standalone short. Do you cut around it?
Clips come from the whole file, so the surest move is to cut that part out before you upload. If it still shows up, drop that clip and ask with "Change this" for any teaser or title that touches it to be recut; nothing posts unless you post it.
