Ship Your Pod

Marketing podcasts

You teach distribution for a living and your own episode has none

Marketing podcasts have a particular problem: your audience knows exactly what good short-form looks like and judges you by it. The moment a guest breaks down a campaign that worked, or admits the one that quietly died, is the kind of thing marketers screenshot into their team's chat. Those moments exist in every episode you film; clipping is how your show stops being a secret shared among people who already listen.

What gets in the way

Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.

The moments that travel

Campaign autopsyA specific breakdown of why something worked or flopped is the most practical content in the category.
Guest kills a sacred cowWhen a respected practitioner says a common tactic is a waste of time, people argue about it for days.
The client conversationHearing how someone talked a stakeholder out of a bad idea is a script viewers want to borrow.
Tool you actually useAn honest aside about the one tool or habit behind the work gets saved and asked about.
Career turnHow a guest went from in-house to agency, or from agency to founder, lands with marketers deciding their own next step.

Hooks in your show's voice

What we leave out

Cut around any client name, dashboard, or result your guest shared under the assumption it stayed in a long episode, since a clip reaches people the original audience did not include. Avoid turning a nuanced take on a tactic into a bare 'this works' or 'this is dead,' and skip moments where a guest critiques a competitor by name unless they clearly wanted that on record. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

8 to 15 Shorts, plus teasers, thumbnails from real frames, and a title and description, on a private page on your phone, within a day. Each Short is scored, with a plain reason why it should work. You post them wherever you like, full quality, no watermark.

Questions

My guests often describe work they can't fully name. Can those stories still be clipped?

Captions are only the words actually said, so a story your guest tells without naming the client stays that way in the clip. If a cut includes a detail you want out, use Change this to drop that part, and since you post everything yourself nothing goes public until you are happy.

I'm picky about hooks and pacing. Do I get a say?

Every clip arrives on your private page before it goes anywhere, and Change this on any clip takes a plain-words request to cut it differently, drop a part or fix a word. Pick the caption style you like in Settings, and remember you post everything yourself, so your call is final.

Should the clips sound like my show or like generic marketing content?

Like your show. The on-screen hooks are written in your voice and the cuts favor your actual phrasing over trend formats that would make you cringe.
