College Student podcasts

Your audience is eighteen to twenty-two and has never opened a podcast app.

Students discover shows on their phones in vertical video, usually while avoiding something else. A podcast about college life that only exists as full episodes is invisible to the exact people it is for. Clips put your show where students already are, and the ones that land get sent around a group chat the same night.

What gets in the way

Send the episode; the clips come back cut, captioned and ranked. That is the whole job on your side.

The moments that travel

The roommate storyEveryone has one, and a well-told roommate disaster is the easiest thing in this niche to share.
The first-gen honestyA guest explaining what nobody in their family could tell them about college reaches students who feel the same gap.
The money mistakeA frank account of a bad financial decision at nineteen gets watched by people about to make it.
The major-change momentHow someone decided to switch majors, and what happened next, is a question most students are quietly asking.
The thing nobody warns you aboutOffice hours, registration, the dining hall at week ten: the small unspoken realities travel because they feel like insider knowledge.

What we leave out

Do not clip anything that names or identifies a professor, a specific dorm incident or another student, even as a joke; a clip can get screenshotted and sent to the people in it. Also cut around any talk of drinking, drugs or hazing unless it is clearly cautionary, and never present financial aid or academic policy advice as if it applied to every school. Every clip comes with a safety check and its reasons, and nothing goes out until you post it.

8 to 15 Shorts, plus teasers, thumbnails from real frames, and a title and description, on a private page on your phone, within a day. Each Short is scored, with a plain reason why it should work. You post them wherever you like, full quality, no watermark.

Questions

I record on a laptop in my dorm. Is the video quality good enough for clips?

Usually yes, as long as there is decent light and the audio is clear. Framing matters more than the camera; sit so your face is centered and the vertical crop will work.

Can clips go up on the platforms students actually use, not just one?

You receive one vertical file per clip with captions burned in, so you can post it wherever your audience is. The captions and format are chosen to work across all of them.

What happens when I am away for the summer and not recording?

Clips come from episodes you have already published, so a back catalog can keep your feeds active while you are off. You decide when and whether to post them.
